Well folks, here it is. This is the first post I have made from my main office computer in months. I finally have had the opportunity to move my desk into my new office and get the computer hooked up. Let me tell you, I have been waiting for this for awhile. Computer is happy and so am I. Now I just need to get the room all dressed up like I want it. I will say though, I am a bit confused by part of my setup. I hooked the computer into my 1GBps switch and my computer said I was on a 1 gig line and then after a reboot it says I’m on a 100Mbit connection instead. Not sure if it’s the jack or the computer is just acting funky. I’ll have to see. I will say this though, Faith No More’s “Ricochet” is sounding pretty frakkin good right now.
What’s next? Well, as it stands now, my room has nothing but my desk, speakers, some cables on the floor, and my wiring cabinet in the back. I need to move some other stuff in here. I am however waiting on the cottage money because I am seriously considering using some of that cash to purchase myself a much wanted flat screen TV and home theatre package for this room. I also need a couch but any old thing will do for that. It will likely be more like a loveseat because I don’t have a lot of room for a big couch. I also now need to move Manarc from the basement into this room. That along will be an undertaking as I try to get that thing up the steps and then down the steps and into this room, all without tearing the crap out of the floor.
Anyways folks, it’s nice to be back into an office and this time it’s a room that’s all my own. I’ll post pictures when I have some 🙂
