Tribute: The Story & Digest of VAJ Magazine is a book I put together to combine all of the various interviews, reviews, stories, articles, and horoscopes found within the pages of VAJ magazine. It was inspired by a local musician who mentioned the old “zine” days and things that people had written about him and his band.
For about 5 years, VAJ was a staple in my life and in the local music scene. Wanting to insure that all of those old articles and some of the good fun found within it’s pages were never lost, I thought it would be cool to compile it all together into a single entity. It also gave me the opportunity to explore how the self-publishing model through Lulu.com worked.
Pretty much everything that was ever published in VAJ is in this book along with some commentary from myself, Chris Clarke, and Jason Hyslop. If you want a piece of Moncton’s local music history, grab a copy of Tribute from here.
