For some of us, geocaching is just something we do when we have some spare time and want to go see either a nice trail, or experience some urban caching. But for others, geocaching consumes their lives and therefore comes out in many different ways. Vacations are one example.

Have you ever planned your vacation around geocaching? It’s interesting when you decide to take time off from your day to day life to go on vacation but end up spending a considerable amount of time geocaching. Whether it’s because the area is new and you want to see those hidden gems, or you’re just that into the hobby that it really does bleed into everything you do.

Back in 2010, I planned my own vacation around a trip to Seattle to visit HQ and one of the remaining Ape caches (which has since been archived) along with GeoWoodstock. Below you’ll find links to the series of articles I wrote about my experience out on vacation.
