Oh ya! It’s a hell of a better day today than it was yesterday. First off, I managed to take it pretty easy last night. Although I may have seemed kind of pissy, I was just run down from yesterdays unfortunate shitty atmosphere. I am however feeling a hell of a lot better this morning and am looking to take a walk down to the cafeteria to get a Coke this morning.
VAJ launched with more viewship than I thought for it’s first day. I’ve already had people sign up for the site, and even had one story submitted by a reader. I think this is awesome. I was feeling a little worried about how to get the word out but it looks like the word is spreading on it’s own. I do however have to get my posters out! Woooo hoooo!
Got a phone call from TLC regarding my surgery. Just had to confirm everything was ok, and I was told that I can’t wear contacts until the surgery, which effectively means, I’ll never be wearing contacts again since after the surgery, I won’t need them. It feels kind of weird knowing that in 9 days, I’ll never need glasses or contacts again (until I’m 50 at least) but I’m so psyched.
Went to Tamara’s friend Tammy’s place last night for supper. She made a kickass lasagna. It was muchos good! We were supposed to watch Bruce Allmighty but since I forgot the DVD and left it in my car, and she lives in Memramcook, we decided to rent something. We watched Dreamcatcher. I have to say, it was ok. I’m glad I wasn’t the one renting the movie because to me, it wasn’t worth it. For a Stephen King movie, it was pretty typical stuff, and it in fact reminded me way too much of a monster of the week episode on The X-Files. Ok movie, but wouldn’t want to see it again.
Regardless, I think it’s time I make that long trip down to the cafeteria and then start my day. The guy from Montreal is supposed to be here at noon so hopefully I can get some work done by then.
