I’ve had very few calls today so I worked on the site a bit. I had to work on it because of some problems that arose. It’s a long and complicated story, but basically, I was asked, not instructed to or ordered to, remove certain content from this site because certain individuals were extremely offended by it. So offended, that they found it necessary to make threats towards me over the phone, and over the net.
According to my lawyer, the law is on my side saying that I am fully within my right to post what I want as long as it is not slanderous towards a named individual. Nothing posted here was aimed at anyone specifically, and therefore, should I have wanted to be a prick about it, I could have refused, but I have chosen not to.
Initially, I simply denied access to the material that these individuals may have been offended by, but I have since gone back through my blogs for at least 6 months if not longer, and removed the content that was requested of me. When I have more time, perhaps today, I’ll re-examine the older blogs, but I don’t think that’s necessary since 6 months worth of blogs is plenty.
I’d like it publically known amongst my small viewership that _I_ made the choice to remove this content, and no one forced me to do anything. I chose to do this in the interests of being fair, and trying to keep the peace. Not because a group of individuals decided to harass me at home. I do not take threats lightly, and those that have been issued to me, are being investigated. It is very unfortunate that these individuals lowered themselves to the level that identifying themselves to me and making threats is how they chose to cure the situation. I would have had no problems sitting down and talking about it if someone was truly that offended.
These individuals that have caused such a problem will not be brought up again in any fashion, on this website. Once again, because I CHOOSE not to. I’m sure they will think otherwise, and that’s their right. But should they choose to frequent this site, they are making the choice to read what’s here. I’m not shoving it in your face or announcing anything to the world.
So, that’s the end of that.
