*yawn* As usual I did not feel like getting out of bed this morning. So, to prolong the inevitable, I stayed in bed and didn’t even bother showering this morning. Don’t worry. I was clean and not stinky.
It’s Wednesday which means it’s payday which is always a good thing. Payday means that I have cash to blow on toys. NOT! I wish. I do have some mad money but gotta pay the bills too. The joys of life eh? Wouldn’t it be so nice if everything in the world was free? Frig, that would rock!
I gotta say I’m not much for cake, either eating it or making it, but reading this story last night with Tamara was actually quite cool. Be sure to get a good look at the eyeballs. Those are cool and my fave!
One of my favorite sites is back up and running. Weirdlinks has got to be one of the most interesting sites on the net as it always has cool and odd things on it. Way to go Link Digger!
The weather is getting warmer so you know what that means? It means that summer is coming and that I will soon be able to resume the MAME project. For those of you that haven’t been on Bobsroom.Com long enough, MAME is a project I started way back when I was still married. It’s an old style arcade cabinet built of wood but the innards consist of a PC running emulation software that will allow you to play old arcade games, Atari games, Nintendo games, play movies, listen to music, and watch TV. Pretty much all of the other MAME cabinets out there focus on arcade games as they want to remain true to the original arcade style but I wanted a lot more out of it. I still have my old write-up but all of the images are missing since the site has gone under several changes since then.
Regardless, Ben has agreed to help me with the physical construction of the cabinet since I know squat about building things and he makes all kinds of stuff. I gotta dig out the prototype of the control panel again and start working on that. It’s going to be a LOT of fun!!!!!
