I’m looking out of the big window in my office this morning and I’m thinking that it looks like it’s going to be a hell of a nice day. It’s unfortunate that I’ll be in here all day doing the daily duties. When is that lotto man gonna show up and hand me my cheque so I can stop this foolish work thing. Gotta find him.
We lost another fish in our big tank. I think we have a pH control problem because it seems to stay low all the time and adding pHuP to it isn’t helping. I gotta go get some stabalizing agent or something. Not sure what the deal is but I’ll have to work on it. I’m wondering if that’s why the Molly died. We did buy four more fish. Some Swordtails which looks very nice in the big tank. They add a nice splash of color which was very much missing from that tank. I need more fish in there and may invest in some Clown Loaches since they take care of snails, which appear to be breeding in the tank. Contrary to things I had heard before, having snails in your tank does not mean it’s dirty. Sometimes the snail eggs get on plants in the stores and you bring them home and they snails will grow and since they are asexual, they don’t need a counterpart to reproduce.
Went out for another ride last night with Tamara on the bikes. I gotta say, it’s easier getting up that hill now, but trails are a bit harder. I’m glad to see we’re working harder at it because it’s good for us. Tamara says I keep her motivated which is good. I think she does the same thing for me 🙂
The Tormented DVD’s are almost finished. I have a few more to burn, and then some more artwork to get printed but nothing too serious. The only major thing left to do will be to put the sleeves and stuff in each case. Then of course I gotta take the stuff down to the stores and get it sold. I’m waiting on that since RDO told me the Tormented CD will be delayed a bit because of a problem with his package being lost and then found but too late to have the disc done by June 1st. It happens. Thankfully they found the package at least.
This weekend is a big family thing down at the cottage. Both of my aunt’s will be there along with a bunch of cousins, and friends of there’s, and just generally a lot of people. I am hoping the weather is good because I don’t want it to rain on steak & lobster day! Saturday the wood stove guy will be here so we’ll finally have the new wood stove installed. That means I gotta haul some ass and move things around in the garage since he’ll be moving the stove through there to get to the basement. It’s probably a good time to get off my ass and finish those auctions I started weeks ago. Get them all inventoried and boxed up and post them on eBay. I could use a bit of extra cash.
I’m also going to put a pile of that old home movie footage on DVD. I was going to just archive it onto disc for viewing on a PC but I’ve got old footage like that on CD somewhere and I can’t watch it because the video codec (software to decode the video) doesn’t exist anymore so when I play the video, I see no picture, just hear sound. I figure if I put enough of the good footage on DVD to watch on TV, it will be better that way. More work, but better in the long run.
For whatever reason, it feels like a Friday today. I know it’s a long weekend coming but I dunno why today feels that way. Maybe it’s just me REALLY wanting it to be Friday already. Regardless folks, I better go get my morning Coke and start my day.
