What a weekend. Slayer was, how can I say, fucking incredible. Me and Jason waited a long time in line just to get into the building and by the time we did get inside, we had missed most of Damageplan’s set but that was ok. They finished with a couple of Pantera tunes which was awesome. Slayer took the stage and kicked some serious ass. They sounded great and played great. I wasn’t impressed at first by them taking thes elong breaks between songs but that eventually ended when the singer told the crowd “If you want the shit to continue, back the fuck up”. The crowd had gotten so excited they broke the barracade between the security guys and the crowd. After that was settled, they played tune after tune after tune and it was awesome. Angel Of Death never sounded so good.
I can safely say that my voice recovered from that evening and that the rest of the weekend was good as well. I got a lot of stuff done and even got some extra rest in there too. Hosford and the wife were by last night which was kinda cool. Hos had an old photo album with pictures from the EBCI days which was kinda cool. I have no pictures from Kate’s infamous cottage party but let me tell you, that was legendary folks. What a lot of fun.
So I have an eye appointment today and the gf has one on Friday but hers is a bit bigger than mine as she is going to see about whether or not she qualifies for Lasik surgery. The only bitch about that is the fact that she has to wear glasses all week (you can’t wear contacts for a week before your appt) so her vision has not been the best, plus I think it may be making her a bit cranky, but I understand the pain. Anyway, it’s been 6 months for me since my surgery and I am doing well. The eagle eye vision has passed which is unfortunate but I think I will be fine.
And for all of you dirty old men out there, thanks to Paul Firlotte’s ongoing countdown that he’s had for years, we now know that the Olsen twins have reached the legal age of 18. I dunno what the fascination is with these twins but it sure escapes me.
