NO PARKING HERE!!! (Rounded Edges Lives!)

Ok folks. Here’s the deal. We had our 10 year band reunion this afternoon and talk about a blast. It was the most fun I have had in a long time and I gotta tell you, I may not be able to talk right now after all of the yelling and screaming, but it was all worth it. Read on for more.


Let me tell you, when Cheez first mentioned the idea of doing a reunion, I was psyched. I had thought about doing it for a long time but it was nice to see the rest of the boys into it. It was well worth it.

We started off by Jason fixing the drumset since the kicks were way off and not functioning up to code. Once it was all good, we checked our sound and were good for action.

I set up the video camera in a spot to get the most of us but it was difficult as it was low lit and did not look that great but we did shoot the entire jam (minus the odd spot here and ther) and it was great.

We tried our best to play all of the old songs including Hanging Above, My Thoughts Invade Me, Sue, Backseat Driving, and The Honeymoon’s Over. It had been a long time since any of us had played together and it was hard trying to remember everything but we eventually got things going and started so sound not too bad. About the same as we did back in 94. I will say though, we had a lot more fun this time around and I just couldn’t stop laughing. We even tried to do a Tomahawk and Faith No More cover and managed to pull of a small version of an old ACDC classic. Along with those, an old song Time Travel got reinvented with new lyrics that read “NO PARKING HERE, TO THE CORNER!!”. You had to be there but feel free to ask!

As part of the fun, I brought along the infamous MDP Guitar (with it’s 2 strings) and me and Cheez did the original Backseat Driving tune. The guitar met a fitting end when we ended our set with The Honeymoon’s Over and I smashed the guitar into bits. The boys signed it and now it has gone into guitar heaven.

I gotta say. It was awesome jamming again and I had a lot of fun and I will have to do it again sometime. Maybe in 2014 when it’s time for our 20 year reunion 🙂 Ken, dunno if you knocked on the door and we didn’t hear ya and if ya did we’re sorry but we have it all on video if ya wanna see!
