Damnit Billy, I’m glad it’s Friday! As per the norm, I didn’t feel like getting out of bed this morning, but I managed to haul my ass up and put clothes on, and made it into work.
Last night was very cool. We have made the decision to hotel it in New York instead of camping for a flurry of reasons. It will be more comfortable. Easier to go to and from our accomodations, and it will be cooler (both literally and metaphorically). We have found that all the hotels in Manhattan charge for parking, per day. It’s like $20-$50 per day to park your car in the hotel parking lot, even if you’re a guest. To me, that’s retarded, but it may come to that. I found one hotel in Queens that has free parking and the rate is good, but I don’t know so much about the neighborhood so I’m going to do some research. I have no problems taking a subway ride into the city, but I don’t want to be staying in a nasty neighborhood.
It’s actually two weeks from today that we’ll be leaving. I’m getting a little psyched and I gotta work out some of the logistical things, and money things, but it’s all good. I really can’t wait.
In other news, part of my headaches at work have been lifted, thank goodness. Nothing serious but it was nice to see action being taken when it needed to be.
I am in the mood to rant today so I think I am going to post one later but no guarantees. See how the day goes…
