What a full weekend!

Wow! Talk about a lot happening over the weekend. Where to begin…

Let’s start with Friday. Came home and did the usual veg thing and Ben called and showed up. We hung out for awhile while I built another computer for the computer room. This is the computer that will power my media server as well as home automation stuff, although now that it’s built, I don’t know if I’ll use it or not (more on that later). Me and ben also discovered that my rear speakers in my computer room were not working so in an effort to fix them, I ended up having to reformat my computer. Long story short, Windows puked all over 5.1 sound, and made a mess of my sound, so I reinstalled. Not much work and my machine is actually running better now. Decided to keep the LCD monitor as it is just too pretty to give up 🙂

Satuday was full too. Me and Tamara went to get a sausage and did a little bit of shopping. We finished that and headed out to Cape Enrage which I had heard her speak of but had no idea where it was. It’s up past The Rocks and man, what a gorgeous place. I had no idea we had places like that in new Brunswick. It really makes me want to explore more of our own province and see what other kinds of cool stuff we got here. We got home, had some supper, and I finished watching Starship Troopers 2 which totally sucked. I knew it would since it was released directly to DVD but since I liked the first one, and TrekToday keeps hounding me with ads for it, I figured I might as well watch it.

Sunday was more shopping and cleaning around the house. We bought some more fish for the tanks. Actually, earlier we had bought some shrimp for the tank (they eat algae) and all they have done is hide. We bought some more tetras for the small tank (nicknamed Tiny Tim) and we bought a snail, a black lyre-tailed mollie, and a pictus catfish for the big tank (nicknamed Big Bertha). The new catfish is very cool looking.

I also did some work from home last night deploying the new Norampac Moncton website. Unfortunately, it’s only available within Norampac so I can’t share it with you but trust me, it looks nice.

I’m anxiously awaiting the end of this week since Friday is departure day. It’s also month-end closing day at work which means that if it doesn’t go smoothly, I could be stuck here later than I want to be. I am going to do my damndest to make sure that all goes well, and I can get out of here by 4:30, go home, change, and wait for Tamara. We’re going to pack the car up on Thursday night so when we get home Friday, we just leave, nothing more.
