Finally! After all of the posts, screaming, yelling, anticipation, and all of that jazz, the day of my departure to NYC has finally arrived. It’s only 8 hours away and I tell you, I am PSYCHED!
Last night we had some company so we visited with them for awhile but then the packing began. I managed to get all of my clothes packed, my necessities (pitstick, etc), digital camera, video camera, pda, smell-phone (no, I’m not a geek at all), maps, subway tokens, directions, cooler, food, and pretty much everything I need. Tamara also did the bulk of her packing and when she gets home tonite, it will be a few small things and that’ll be it. Say bye to the cats, make sure everyone has food, and we’ll be on our way.
I am hoping (really badly) to be out of Moncton by 6pm tonite. That will put us in Bangor by about 11. Crash, get up, and hopefully be on the road by 9am at the absolute latest. I don’t want to be waiting any longer than that to be out of there as I want to make sure we get into NYC. If you are really curious about how we are going to get there, check out this map. It looks like we will have good travel weather and hopefully the rain will only be a little bit while we are there. The forecast calls for 30% chance of rain so I hope that doesn’t get worse but if it does, we’ll be fine anyway. Rain or shine, I’m roller-coastering it baybee! I’m also going to finally see that damn NBC studios that I’ve wanted to go to for ages. Frig sakes.
