As I indicated earlier last week, I finally bought the Homepod I have wanted for the house. I also went out and bought a set of nice speakers, and a wireless router for the house. According to the UPS tracking info, my Homepod is out for delivery today which means I should be able to go and pick it up tonite. That means I’ll have to rig the new router up and start working on mounting those speakers into the kitchen. Tamara had a great idea about hiding one of them behind a plant in the kitchen. Who would have thought one of her 1000 plants would have a techful purpose. Heh. Don’t tell her I said that 😉

This weekend I tried to find myself a copy of Mortal Kombat & South Park on DVD but guess what? Both Walmart’s, Future Shop, and the Blockbuster in Riverview don’t have it. It’s a conspiracy I tell you. Instead, I kicked back last night and watched Attack Of The Clones which sounded pretty damn sweet in the rec room downstairs. I really hope George Lucas does a good job on ep 3 because it will be the nail in the Star Wars coffin I’m sure.

Speaking of all things geek, Brent Spiner of Star Trek TNG fame will be appearing on Star Trek Enterprise this season as Arik Soong. A great ancestor of Nonian Soong who created the android Data. It sounds a little lame but the story he will be involved in will focus around the Eugenics wars and Arik is some sort of eugenics genius of that time period. Kind of a neat idea. It should be cool. But it’s not happening until episode 4, 5, & 6, so anyone here who watches it will have to wait.

Here it is, August 9th, and I can’t believe half the year is gone already. Where the hell does the time go anyway? Frig sakes. Oh ya. I forgot. We lost 2 fish. We lost the Lyretail Mollie that Tamara bought to give the other one some company. We also lost one of the new bettas she bought. She got 4 females and put some in the big tank and some in the small tank but the small tank male betta became super aggressive so she moved those 2 to the big tank and one of them died. She got it replaced and also bought what looks to be a clown loach but may end up being a tiger barb for the baby tank. Too many damn fish to keep track of damnit!

I was a little perturbed by the fact that I had bid on a nice digital picture frame on eBay and someone sniped the auction from me at the last minute. It’s annoying as hell when people do that but I’m guilty of it as well. Anyway, now I gotta try and find one somewhere else. Tamara says she’s not too keen on them but I kinda like the idea of a frame that changes pictures.
