Getting colder…

Posted by on September 15, 2004

Well folks, the nights of it being nice enough to walk around in t-shirts is long gone. Last night, it was cold. This morning, the house was cold. I think it won’t be long before I start doing the fire thing at the house. I hate the cold seasons. They bug me so much. I don’t mind the snow it’s just the damn cold that bugs me. If I didn’t love Moncton so much, I’d move somewhere like California where it’s never cold.

So a few things happened with the programming I did yesterday. First off, it turns out that my front end won’t launch MAME right which sucks. So I thought, hey, other people have emulator front ends out there, why not find a good one and use it, instead of reinventing the wheel. Found a real good one that would do everything I want. Got it home, tested it, and yup, it runs all of the emulators fine. Just not original games. DOH! This was very disappointing to me as I wanted to be able to launch everything from one app. So, I’m going back to writing my own and I may still try and fix the app that I downloaded but we’ll see where it goes.

Watched “The Whole Ten Yards” last night. It was my first DVD from ZIP.CA which is a cool DVD service. Movie wasn’t all that great but it was funny in spots, and I like Matt Perry & Bruce Willis anyway. I also watched The Amazing Race which came so close to getting rid of Colin & Christie but alas, it was a non-elimination round. DAMNIT! I want them gone!

Tomorrow is my last day for this week. I almost forgot that I have it off. I can’t wait. I dunno if me and Tamara are going to be going anywhere as my cash right now is a little low, but we’ll wait and see. We can probably pull of going to Saint John or Halifax for the night which would be a nice little trip away from home.

Anyways, I’m going to go code now. Have a great day.
