I am taking 5 minutes for myself since it has been busy this morning.
So folks, the cabinet now has a name. MANARC. It’s actually an acronym for “Matt’s Arcade Nintendo Atari & Retrogaming Cabinet”. It’s a bit cheezy but hey, I like it. I did some artwork for the marquee and came up with this image as a marquee and I gotta say, it looks pretty damn cool on the cabinet. It’s basically black with the name, and a bunch of cartridge/cabinet/box scans of old games. Very neat. The image on the site doesn’t look that great as I had to reduce the image to post it here, but the one used on the cabinet itself is very high quality and looks WAY sharper. If you come to the Halloween party, you’ll know what I mean 😉
So, I did some more testing yesterday and worked out a few more kinks and I should have the cabinet installed in the basement this weekend or at least early next week. WOO HOO!
This weekend is going to be a cleaning weekend. I hate chores but we gotta do some work in the basement and I am hoping that we can get stuff moved and organized a bit better. Here’s to hoping anyway.
