So I got up this morning and headed off to work and stopped by Hungries to get a copy of Metro Marquee only to discover that my first article was in fact, not published. They DID however publish the letter I sent in about the whole Mr. Nice Guy business which I was very happy to see. I suspect they didn’t want a letter from me and an article from me appearing in the same issue. So, I’ll have to wait for next week’s issue. I’m relatively sure they’ll be putting it in that one since the editor contacted me yesterday for some specific info. I’d post a link to the online version but it’s not there yet so when one becomes available, I’ll post it.
It looks like it actually might be quite nice today which would be a change from all the rain we have had this week. I really hope this means we’ll have a good weekend.
Oh ya! I started on finally getting the speakers in the kitchen hooked up. I had put wire coverings up months ago but had not got the wire installed. So, I got the speaker on top of the kitchen wired into the amp, but now I need to put another covering on the back wall, and run the wire from the computer room. Ironic thing is, I don’t know if the wire coming from the computer room will actually fit inside the wire covering in the kitchen, so I made have that up there for nothing. I’ll have to wait and see. But at least I’ll have music in the kitchen soon. 🙂
I started archiving some of the old VAJ magazines onto the web. I had some interest from folks at MonctonLocals.Com and I figured since I had a lot of it in digital format anyway, why not. If you’re interested, check it out here. It’s just a basic cover archive with some notes on each issue, but with more to come. For anyone who remembers VAJ, it’s a cool trip down memory lane.
