My first article in the Metro Marquee appeared today and man am I a happy camper. I picked it up this morning on my way to work and opened it up and didn’t see my column at first but after looking a bit more, there it was, with my name in print. Man, this is WAY cool! Writing about geek stuff, and getting paid for it. How about that eh? WOO HOO! If you’re in the Moncton area, grab a copy!
So ya, yesterday I was sick bad. I went home from work early and went right to bed. I slept pretty much til 4 and then got up for a little while, and then I think I went back to bed close to 8 and didn’t get up til this morning. I tell you though, the rest sure helped. I feel 200% better than I did yesterday and man I’m glad. Last thing I need is to feel like shit before a party.
Speaking of which, it looks like we’re going to have a large crowd here that night which is going to be very cool. I’m very excited. During the odd hours I was awake yesterday, I did put up a few decorations but nothing too serious. We still need to buy some food and snacks and all of that but it looks like it will be good. I did get some email about people who won’t be showing up. Sorry to hear ya can’t make it Gary but I understand the money situation. Gary’s down in Halifax now and was going to try and make it up. Shawna emailed me and said she wasn’t gonna be there but there’s a surprise. I think everyone else for the most part, that’s been invited is trying to be here, so it will be awesome!
