Party was a success

So folks, for those of you that were not able to attend, for whatever reasons they might have been, the party was a good success. We had a good turn out but not as many as we had originally planned. We had a LOT of food and surprisngly enough, more people dressed up than I thought would be, but it was all good. No damage to the house and a hell of a lot of laughs, that’s for sure. Eric, you forgot your slippers at my house. Thanks goes out to everyone who came and had fun. We are planning on making it an annual event so please be sure to come by next year. I was going to post some pictures this morning but unfortunately I forgot to get one of the good ones so it will have to wait until tomorrow, or maybe this afternoon.

Other than the party, there’s not a hell of a lot to report. I went to see Alex & Brian play on Friday night. Although they had a small crowd, they did well while I was there. I heard new tunes which was good to see and hear. They were both doing well but I suspect Friday gigs are harder to do as Alex mentioned the whole having to put in a full days work before the show. I feel for you man but I’m glad to see you guys are still at it and still doing well.

I start teaching my course at work tomorrow. I get to do setup today which will be cool. I love to teach and even though I’m sure I’ll have the oddball student here and there, I think it will be a great time.

Speaking of things at work, I’m not normally one to say too much about the place, but Friday was an awesome afternoon as we got wind of a new contract that is going to really boost business here. Everyone here is quite excited and we’re really looking forward to the new year as it’s going to be seriously kick ass.

Speaking of new year, October is almost over and if you didn’t realize it before, you will now. It’s exactly 2 months before Christmas. Man, where the hell did the year go? It won’t be long before both me and Tamara hit 31 and then Christmas will be here, and wham, 2005. Feels very surreal to know it’s on it’s way.

Ken, I heard the bad news from Alexs this weekend, and you have me biggest of condolences. I really hope you and your family are all ok. Send my best wishes to everyone.

Regardless folks, I better get the day started. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and Halloween is this coming weekend so be sure to get in costume and give out lots of candy, or for the rest of us, just eat it all. Have a great day!
