So the US elections are now over. Kerry gave in and Bush won. So now the US has to put up with Bush for another 4 years. God only knows what?s going to happen in the next 4 years. Considering all of the damage Bush has done in his first term, if he does half as bad in his second, we?ll be lucky. It would not surprise me in the least to see the USA attacked again and things overseas continue to get worse. It will happen. I can smell it. Michael Moore?s film, Fahrenheit 9/11 talked about Bush?s real goals and what really went on, from his perspective. His idea was to try and sway the election so that Bush would not get re-elected. He failed, and now he?s going to go at it again. Why?
I read this morning that Michael Moore is planning a sequel to F911 which will have more on the war on terror, Iraq, and probably this past election. I read that, and went ?come on, get over it?. Yeah ok. I enjoyed F911 and I don?t like Bush and what he?s doing to the world, but the fact is, Bush cannot get re-elected in 2008. People know what the guy is like and they voted for him anyway. What purpose will doing another film serve? None.
The article I read said that MM sees America as divided. 51% of them not knowing what their current president is really like. You know what. Whether they do or not, they don?t care. They wanted him over Kerry and the fact that there were so many more voters this time around, showed the public that people DO want him in there. American?s really are that dumb.
I don?t think MM making another film, showing us all of this horrible stuff, is going to make any difference now. Why would you bother? Bush won?t be around. Whomever goes after him I?m sure will be better. Nothing good would come of this guy making another movie about stuff that has already been said. People who know Bush is a tool know it and share it. Those who think he?s good at protecting his country will still believe that whether they hear otherwise. Why make a movie about this crap when by the time it comes out, it won?t matter anymore? Who knows. Maybe the US will be nuked by then.
I guess what irritates me is that the American public who voted for Bush truly felt that he would protect them better than Kerry would. This is probably the same gun toting public that was shown to us in MM?s other film, Bowling For Columbine. The results of this election truly show the honest feelings of the US public and how they think that going around bullying people is the best way to run the world. What will it take to make these people see that what they are doing is wrong?
Michael Moore, you made some great movies, and I?m glad you opened the eyes of some people but please, just let it go. Bush won. You lost. Americans lost. Take your fight to something else and just let Bush do his dirty work and when the 4 years is up, you can come out of your bunker as the radiation might have settled by then and you can use the fragments of the nuclear bombs that destroyed your country to make a new movie about how Canadians rock.
So there. I?ve had my say.
One Response to Michael Moore. Please give it a rest.
