I am taking a small break since I have been hammering away at stuff for awhile now.
Weekend was good. I managed to get some shopping done and some visiting done. I finally got the Rounded Edges tapes down to Jason, J.C. & Chris. They are all doing well. Talked and visited with Ben and he is also doing good. Went to see Alex & Brian play at Woody’s on Friday and talked with them and Ken. That was a good show. It was generally a good weekend.
Apparently my post about my frequent visitor upset someone which resulted in a long rant which is not even worth my time replying to. Needless to say, it’s filled with tons of factual innaccuracies and in fact, validated much of what I suspected was the truth. I will not waste any more bandwidth or web space on that.
I’ve got VMware running some virtual machines here at home so that I can experiment with Windows 2000 & Exchange 2000. Very cool stuff. I gotta say that the software runs very nice and I am actually surprised at how well Windows 2000 Server runs under VMWare. I’ve got it and an XP workstation set up in VM and running simultaneously, it’s very cool. Lots of computers running lots of software, all on one computer. Very neat.
Hit a snag with mom’s video gift. I watched the test DVD a little while ago and the audio is not in sync with the video in spots. This is a major problem. I was hoping it was the DVD software that did it but it was in fact the original video I did in Ulead. I am therefore re-rendering the video with a minor change to the sound in hopes that this will cure the problem. I really hope I can get it to work as I need this done soon. I can’t be using up more time on that as I need my study / work time.
Christmas is on Saturday. I still am not finished my shopping and only have a few things I need to worry about. The biggest being the wrapping of gifts. I got a pile of stuff to wrap and I know how much I hate wrapping so that will be a tedious task.
Regardless, Ulead just froze, again, so I need to go fix that damn software, again. JOY!
