Today is hump day but I don’t think I will be doing any humping this morning. I got up around 9ish which is about what I expected but I do have some work cut out for me today, but I actually think it will be easier than the stuff I have been working on. I’ve got a bunch of outlines and stuff I need to work on but I also need to get quizzes and homework worked on as well. I’m hoping to have everything I figure I need done by the weekend so I can enjoy the weekend without having to think about work.
So me and Tamara went out and shovelled the driveway yesterday and along came this little girl, probably 5 or 6 maybe older, not too good with ages of kids that age anyway, and she wanted to help us. It was the sweetest thing. We also found out that it’s the guy across the street who did our driveway for us and he insisted on not taking anything for it so Tamara might make some nice baked goods or something as a thank you. Very cool stuff.
We went out to Walmart last night and it wasn’t too bad. I bought a bunch of pairs of pants and shirts, and a ncie new pair of shoes. All for under $200 which was way cool. I needed the clothes since I have been wearing jeans and t-shirts to work for 4 years and have weeded out my “nice” clothes. It’s not so bad. I don’t like wearing ties at all but it’s a small price to pay for being out of my old job.
Speaking of the old stomping grounds, I haven’t heard the last from them. I’ve got two things left in dealing with them and I got an email about one of them this morning. The other one should be interesting and I am hoping to hear something before the end of next week.
We’re going to move the big fish tank tonite. Tamara got most of the water out of the tank but there is a little left which I am going to do my best to clean out today while on break. I’m still very disappointed about having to move the tank into the basement but it’s in our best interests to do so. I think we’re going to put it in a spot that we can see the tank from the tv room so that we can still enjoy the look of it. We won’t be able to sit upstairs and watch it anymore but we will have a spot for it downstairs.
On that note, I better get my ass in gear and start the day!
