Finally

Frig sakes. So I had a huge fight with MS Exchange tonite and well, I think I won since I said the hell with it and reinstalled everything. The software is nice but man what a pain in the ass sometimes. It definitely doesn’t do exactly what it’s supposed to but that’s ok. I’d never learn anything that way would I?

I did up my bill to Norampac. Since they contacted me for technical support after I had already left, and I have left all of my troubleshooting documentation there, I felt that charging them for the time it took me to fix their problem only seemed appropriate. And apparently my specific instructions DID fix the problem as they emailed me back letting me know such. In truth, I don’t expect to get paid for it but I am billing them out of principle.

I gotta say, I totally love the new job. Last week was hard and I have learned a lot already, but it’s so nice to be in a place where you are welcomed, and are part of a team. I can’t believe how awesome it is to be there. The students and staff are awesome and it’s just a great feeling. There’s a lot of new challenges and I have even been able to be a bit assertive regarding my role there which I was happy about. I know that getting the certs is going to be hard but if I can get through that and stick around that place, I’m going to be bouncing in the air man!

Me and Tamara went to see White Noise yesterday which I must say was not all that great. It was not what I expected at all but did have a few good moments in it. I would recommend waiting for the DVD before seeing it, if at all. I also grabbed some blank DVD’s as I have a few I need to burn off, and I also purchased the Team America soundtrack which is awesome. Hehehehe. Ok maybe awesome is a bit much but funny for sure. Speaking of things related to Trey & Matt, I’ve read a bit more that says Orgazmo will be out within the first quarter of this year. I hope this is accurate as I wanna get my hands on that DVD. I have the movie in ASF format burnt on a CD somewhere but it’s just not the same as having the actual DVD.

I had lots of time this weekend but did not get any Sims in. Unfortunate. If I finish my Exchange stuff tonite early enough, I might fire up the game but that’s unlikely.

Oh ya. Anyone here know much about wood stoves? Me and Tamara are having a bitch of a time with ours. It spontaneously decides to spew smoke out through the whole house and not suck it up the chimney. Last night Tamara tried making a fire and filled the basement with smoke. We left it for awhile and came back to find the fire had started and was burning fine. We had it happen before and we don’t know why sometimes the smoke stays and other times it goes up the chimney. If you know anything decent about wood stoves, let me know. We don’t like the house being filled with smoke 🙁

Sorry the updates during the week have sucked. New job has got me pretty damn busy and I barely know where my head is half the time but it’s all good. I do my best to make sure I update when I get home or after supper. The site is not going anywhere so please don’t get that impression. Hey, this is a bigass update so it makes up for it!
