Alrighty folks. Sorry about the lack of update yesterday but the truth was I was swamped with stuff I needed to get done and I just did not have the time, and never even thought of posting here. So, I will do my best to make this a decent sized entry on my site.
It’s mid-week and I gotta say I am pretty happy. Tonite is the first night I have not had any major work I have had to do at home. I took a quick glance at a cramsession guide and it looks like it could be a great tool for studying but I won’t know more until later in the month when I am further along in the class I am teaching. But none the less, it is a nice reference tool.
Classes are going well. I think my students seem to be getting it even though I know some of the theory is way out there and hard to grasp. It’s a lot to absorb in a short period of time. Midterm is this week so that will tell if they know what’s going on.
Received a nice polite GFY (be creative, I’m sure you can figure out what that means 😉 ) letter from my former employer yesterday. Basically I’m being told that they are screwing me out of money I am owed. Well, I am taking actions to make sure that I do everything in my power to get what is mine. I tried to called the Employee Rights Commission today but apparently they are only open until 4:30 so I will have to try again tomorrow afternoon sometime. I hope they will be able to help me.
In reality TV news, that damn Jonathan and Victoria have not been kicked off The Amazing Race and I am really getting tired of seeing them. That Jon is a real ass. I hope the previews for next week result in them being done in that show because they suck. In other reality TV news, if you liked Joe Schmo, then check out Invasion Iowa which is due to hit SpikeTV soon. It’s good ole Captain Kirk (William Shatner) in some sort of huge prank on some small town in Iowa. Joe Schmo was entertaining knowing it was a prank. This will be even better knowing who the main actor is. Funny shit I’m sure.
It will be an interesting weekend as Tamara will be gone Saturday and part of Sunday on a getaway trip with some of her friends. That leaves the house empty with little ole me by myself, sitting up, watching porn at 1am. Fun city eh? I’ll have to do my best to try and get something constructive down around the house. I do have work that needs to be done for the following week and if I had any amount of brains, I’d do it beforehand and get it done, so I don’t have to work as much at night next week. I don’t mind the extra work, but it does take away from the whole lying around doing very little time. Gotta work on that.
There’s more interesting stats on my webpage visitors. I’m not normally one who cares much about who visits, but ever since that last fiasco, I figured I might as well keep a little closer eye on my visitors, and now it seems that someone definitely does not want me to know that they are visiting since the web logs show usage of a website which blocks your actual address from being recorded in my logs, but it does tell me the name of such sites. I mean, come on. What’s the big deal? Someone out there scared of it being known you are one of the maybe 10 people that visit Matt Klem’s site? Man, talk about paranoid. Anyway, feel free to keep lurking and being paranoid.
So, Tamara’s out and I have time off and what am I doing? Wasting it on the computer when I could be doing something useful around the house. I think I am finally going to get off my ass, go into the bedroom, and put some clothes away. There’s only like 3 hampers full of stuff that needs to be put away and I need pants for tomorrow anyway. I really am not a fan of the whole having to wear a shirt and tie thing, but the new clothes I have are working well, and the ties don’t strangle me in these shirts, like my old ones do. Man, I wore an older shirt today and with a tie I could barely breathe. Frig. Glad I have variety in my wardrobe.
