I was surprised this morning when the phone rang early and informed me that I would not be going into work today. This of course is always a welcome piece of news even though I enjoy the work. It was nice to be able to stay in bed today. Not too sure how I’ll get the rest of my module covered in such a short time but I don’t think it will be that bad.
Last night one of my fish tried to commit suicide. Xena, our smaller shark, was swimming around quite fast and she jumped out of the back of the tank and landed on the floor. I would never have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes but it really happened. Fortunately, I was able to pick her up and put her back in the water. She seems unharmed which is weird but I am glad to see she is ok.
The weekend saw a lot of snow and a lot of wood burning. The stove got a lot of use this weekend with it being so damn cold out. It was nice to have a toasty fire to sit back and enjoy.
Speaking of which, I think the fire I started this morning will have gone out by now so I think I mayt go start it again. Fun!
