I can honestly say I have now been to perhaps the shittiest restaurant in the city of Moncton. Sucks to be any of you if you are affiliated with Elmo’s in Riverview because they suck, ASS!
Tamara had been wanting to go there for awhile and she had bought a coupon book which had some two for one deals for there so I figured it would be a good time to try it out. Here’s my tale of Elmo’s suckage.
Get to the restaurant and it barely even looks like a place to eat and then what do I see on the door. A little sign saying they will not honour Johnny’s coupons because of the new owners. Sucks to be us but we thought we’d try the food anyway.
Sat down and our waitress was very nice and got me a can of Pepsi which was surprising because normally restaurants have fountain pop but that was ok. The menu was pretty cheezy but the prices were good and I saw a woman order a burger platter that looked REALLY good so I ordered that. Wasn’t going to happen. They were out of hamburger. Annoyed, I decided to get clams instead. That was fine. Tamara ordered sauteed scallops. Some old lady who apparently is the new owner or something told us about how they had also run out of pork chops because it was so busy earlier. This was not a good sign. The waitress then comes back and tells me that they are all out of clams. At this point, I was mad. WTF kind of place were they running anyway? I sarcastically asked if they had any more scallops and she put that in as my order.
My scallops arrived and so did Tamara’s but hers were deep fried. Waitress apologized and was going to have them fix the order but Tamara kept what they had made and we ate. Quickly.
They did not charge us for one of the meals or the onion rings which was a nice thing for them to do but needless to say, I will not be returning to Elmo’s ever again.
In other news, Gary’s going to be up this weekend and so is Larry so all the former Tormented boys are coming over on Sunday which will be cool. It will be ncie to catch up and see how they are all doing.
Today, I’m waiting for the Rogers guy to finish installing the cable. We’re not getting the PVR today because they have discontinued the model that we were supposed to get and we have to wait about a month or so before we’ll get the PVR which is kind of irritating but I am going to call Rogers and see what they can do about this.
Now I am off to go get the gf and get myself a sausage. YUMMY!
