Friday saw the end of another module and Monday will begin the days of teaching all day instead of morning. That will be good. But, on Friday, me and Tamara did decide to go get some Chinese food here in town and let me tell you, we were not happy with House of Lam. We were seated, given a menu, asked for our drink order, and then ignored. People who came in after us got their drinks and menu orders but we got dick. We said the hell with that and got up and left, crossed the street and got great service at Lilly’s. What a bad experience. I had not intended on returning but I had forgotten my hat there so Saturday morning saw mew returning to get it. Now I can safely say I will not return there.
Yesterday also saw me finally make a purchase I have been pondering and wanting for a long time. Anyone that knows me knows that I am not prone to spending a lot of money on myself very often. I usually just do my day to day stuff and leave it at that. Regardless, Saturday I was in a mood to get something for me so I went out early (was up at 9am if you can imagine that) and went into Staples where I found a desk that I really like. I pondered it for the afternoon and came home to see if it would fit and to fit in the same fashion I have my desk now, it wasn’t going to happen. After speaking to Tamara though, we figured out a way to get the desk in here and it work well. So, I went back and paid for it. Unfortunately it’s not something they stock at the store, so I have to wait til Monday to get it. Plus, I’ll have to wait til the following Saturday to put it together because me and Tamara have to rip the entire computer room apart in order to get the desks set up right. That will make for a cool Saturday project.
It’s Sunday so I’m going to rest a bit, do some work for tomorrow, and we need to do a water change on the fish tanks so that will get done today. Good stuff!
