Now I remember

When I did the post about the party yesterday I forgot to include a mild amusement that for a moment, worried Tamara.

So Saturday, people start showing up and I don’t know most of them, but then I take a closer look in the living room, and am pretty sure I recognize one of the people there. Saying to Tamara, I think I know her, I got her a little worried making her think it was one of my ex’s which it was far from. I said, something to the effect, “if her name is Kim, I know her”. Sure enough, her name was Kim, and it was the person I was thinking. Have no idea what her last name is, but the reason I remembered her was because she was one of the bridesmaids in my wedding back in 1999. How funny was that? Turns out, she works with Tamara’s mom at the hospital. So that in itself was kind of amusing and I had totally forgotten about it until right now.

Rented Donnie Darko yesterday and man, wtf is with that movie? Hosford, it was your idea originally for me to see this movie and man, what a fricken weird flick. That kid was seriously messed up. I still am reeling from the movie and I don’t think I would consider it one of the better mind-fucking movies that I’ve seen but it was way bent, and hard to follow. Wasn’t it you Suela who mentioned that movie recently?

I am finally able to pay my student loans through internet banking. Thank God! I no longer ever have ti set foot in CIBC again. Now I’ll probably be paying these loans until I’m 50 but at least I can do it from the comfort of my own home now.

The only other small piece of news is about my recent eval from my former students which was a good eval so I am quite happy. The rain is here and hopefully we’ll get our St Patty Day storm and then the snow can be gone for another season and we can start on a new season of rain before the summer hits. I want to start BBQ’ing soon and although I could have done that during the winter, I’m lazy and think of BBQ’ing as more of a summer activity. MMMMMmmmm. Steak…..
