Disappointment

Posted by on March 31, 2005

So Tuesday night, Invasion Iowa started on SpikeTV and I had high hopes for this show as it was made by the same folks that gave us Joe Schmo. Having enjoyed that show a lot, I figured this would be even better since the hoax was on a whole town. Well, it’s not been that great thus far.

Two episodes in and I’m bored already. The show is very lame. It hasn’t been that funny although it has had a few laughs, I’m not impressed. Will this deter me from watching? Not likely as I am going to see how it all unfolds but I am disappointed at the lack of any real good gags on this show thus far. I was hoping to see some good stuff. Maybe they’re saving it all for the end of the show but I’ll have to see. At least the actress woman does a decent job of looking like Seven of Nine from Voyager. Not as hot though 😉

It may seem amazing but no students have fallen asleep in my theory class that I have. This is a very good sign. Maybe I’m more entertaining than most. Coolness.

Tamara is feeling a little under the weather tonite and I hope she feels much better. I know what it is like when I am sick and it blows. I am lucky that whatever I had awhile ago has now passed and I am feeling way better.

I have not heard anything from my dad yet so I assume things are still a go. I suspect I will get another letter from him at some point telling me what his next exact plans are. I am getting a little excited about it but I want to try and stay off the excitement for now until I actually know without a doubt that he will be here. Me and Tamara have sort of put our vacation plans to Edmonton on hold until we know for sure what he’s up to.

Speaking of vacation plans though, I did not get published this week which is annoying as hell as this is supposed to be my vacation money being earned. I am going to send my editor a letter and find out wtf is going on. I’d like to know if I’m only supposed to appear every two weeks or what the deal is. If I knew one way or the other, it’d be nice, but I’ll have to play it out.
