Tack on a few more letters to the end of my name. I-Net+ certified. I passed the test with an 844/1000 and am rather satisfied knowing that most of the materials I studied, were useless.
I had a pile of stuff I had gone through and I suspect I would have passed the cert without studying anyway, but I am glad I did, but it didn’t help much. There was a lot of stuff about things I had never heard of but I got the whole thing done in 20 minutes, so now I have ISA Server to do in 2 weeks. I’ve got myself up to Chapter 7 in the book and I want to have read the whole thing at least three times before I go write the cert. I’ll be using the book, plus my other study stuff to get ready and hopefully, pass the exam.
I also plan on writing the Linux+ cert within the next few months as I think that would be something I could use. I like being the odd instructor who can teach these odd subjects. It’s very cool. Plus, I’m looking forward to some of the changes that are heading up on the horizon. Nothing I can mention here but stay tuned.
Made damn good use of the new digital camera today. Still learning the ropes on the new features but man does it take nice, clear, and sharp photos. Wow. I’m very happy with it. It may have cost more than the video camera did, but it’s worth it. Me and Tamara went out to her cousin’s kid’s birthday party which was kind of cute. I’m not big on kids but it was still nice to see the family out at the park. Plus, I got a bunch of nice photos.
We also went car shopping. Tamara wants to replace her Lumina with something smaller so she started looking around for something that’s a bit more economical, and a lot smaller. That car is fricken huge.
In other news, I’m a bit torn about something in my life. Nothing I can mention here as it’s a bit personal, but have you ever just not known what to do about something that should not bother you at all, but it does? I had an incident happen a few months ago as a result of a post on this site, and it’s been on my mind about a few things regarding that. On and off here and there and today, I’ve got things on my mind. I vented in my journal and even wrote out a letter but I’m not sure as to how to go about releasing some of the BS crap that’s in my head. There’s this small part of me that wants to do something for two reasons. One of them that makes normal sense to keep my head sane, and the other one is out of pure spite and it would likely make things WAY worse, but that’s the stronger one of the two. The best way to avoid letting that happen is to just not do anything at all, and I have been doing that, but there’s this thing that’s sitting like a monkey on my back and I gotta find a way to get it out. BLAH! Maybe I’ll go write some more.
