Well, it finally happened. I had to replace my touchpad on my computer. For those of you that don’t know, I don’t use a mouse. I have one of those stand alone touch pads that let you move your finger along a pad to move my mouse. Well, my mouse had been acting a little weird. I think I actually completely wore the surface off the touchpad so that now, it doesn’t recognize my finger movement. Thankfully, I had an older one sitting in a box and hooked it up and it is working wonderful.
So news for the weekend. Well, I went to Bathurst yesterday and visited Larry. That was cool. In fact, it worked out well as his computer seems to have died and I am now trying to bring it back to life. Looks like it may be a MB or processor issue. Hoping to dig out a Celeron proc somewhere to fit the Socket 370 he’s got to see if it IS the proc or not. I hope it is only the proc because an MB replacement would be a serious job on his machine. Anyway, we’ll see.
Friday was the Compucollege staff party and I gotta say, we had a blast. Lots of food and the people were great. Had quite a conversation with Crystal’s boyfriend, Ben (drummer Ben) so that was way cool. We enjoyed ourselves a lot and I am looking forward to the next one. It was kind of interesting as Cathy and Puppet were there. They are Jenn’s aunt and uncle. Cathy works at the school so I see her pretty much everyday, but they brought their two kids which was weird because Nicolas was only a baby the last time I saw him, and Brendan has grown. Frig. Anyways, Tamara met her and the kids so it wwas kind of neat and weird all rolled into one. Cathy actually pointed me out to Brendan but he didn’t recognize me. Hehehe. Not surprising as I look much different now and he was just a smaller kid. Regardless, it was a nice time.
Tamara is gone today to do some sort of volunteer thing. Something to do with a canteen somewhere, so I am home working. I put some more CD’s up on the ceiling as I had not put much work into that for some time. I also am going to start on the reception video for Dave & Mel, but I had to wait since my hands were a little sore from trying to squeeze every last ounce of that ooze I use to stick the CD’s up. I’d also like to hook up the snazzy laser printer I bought from the yard sale thing at the coliseum last week, but I suspect that will have to wait.
This week, Tamara is on vacation, and it’s the last week of my cuirrent module. It’s been a tough month with some of the students but I am hopeful that all will be good in the end.
I tried to call my father to find out WTF is going on with him coming here but alas, there was only a voice mail which I don’t even know if it was his, but I left a message anyway and still have not heard a thing. I’m actually quite irritated by it. I wanted him to come down but I wish he would let me know what he’s actually doing. Frig sakes.
Anyways, I think my hands are feeling a little better. This typing helps for sure. So I’m going to go start on that reception video and then maybe work my way into something else.
