Calling all present/former IRCers from #moncton!
it’s been about 9 years since the start of #moncton, an Internet Relay Chat room, and a couple of us thought it would be a great idea to have a get-together / reunion this summer. Presently, we are thinking about Saturday, Aug 13 as the target date, with some of the following as possible activities/events:
1) Afternoon picnic at Centennial Park (just like the old days)
2) Get together at Shakers/Centennial Pub on St George St (again, old days)
3) Pool party at Dooly’s or Right Spot
4) Casual get together around supper time at Cheers
It is amazing on how many #moncton’ers are still around – in speaking with four or five people, we’ve already thought of about 20-30 chatters who are in the area. With the assistance of Matt (Zor) and Kelly (Red^), we’re going to try to contact as many folks as possible. If you would like to be on our little mailing list, please contact me. Include your name, nickname, and email address, as well as those others you would like for us to contact or that you passed this info on, as we would like to have a detailed listing on who has been invited in.
