Yesterday I was way too out of it to even bother starting with a post to the site so I just left it. I had a specific task in mind to get done and although I got a lot of things accomplished, I didn?t actually get to do what I wanted so I have more work to do.
I?m writing this now because this morning I am supervising an exam as it is in progress and have finished marking what I need to mark, and have also done more than 400 questions for the Linux+ cert I?ll be writing tomorrow. My head is filled with Linux questions and other oddities.
The wedding plans are slow but sure. We now have a place for the ceremony as well as confirmed the minister. I have to make a trip down to service NB to order a copy of my divorce decree since I cannot obtain a marriage license without it. Tamara said she found out that it?s only like $7 so that?s not so bad. We have not finalized a place for the reception yet but we?re looking at a few places. We figure we need a decent sized place as there?s going to be a lot of people at this party. There?s a lot of planning and things to get done and to be honest, I don?t like this part of the whole wedding thing. The planning, stress, and other crap that comes along with it. Some stuff I am really focused on and others, I?d just assume leave it to the wife to be. But, fact is, I should be involved in things even though men in general aren?t big on a lot of the planning. I?m sure I?ll drive Tamara nuts with some of my typical male habits.
I don?t know if I mentioned it or not, but I talked to my dad again. He needs to have an MRI done before they?ll give him the diabetes pump but it?s looking pretty good. I?ll be calling him again in a few weeks to see what the latest status is. He is in good health and very anxious to get to Moncton.
I was online talking to Chris last night and for those who know him, Jason Hyslop has vanished back out west again. Odd. Apparently he took off over 3 months ago. Talk about me being behind the times. Anyways, I guess he told very few people and just up and took off. Chris and Angela have now moved up to near mom?s place actually and are doing very well. I?m sure the change of scenery is nice. Not so ? run down up there.
I go to write a cert tomorrow. As I indicated earlier, I did a pile of questions. I have another self-test package here that has about 500 questions in it. I am hoping it is better than the last one I did because there was a pile of stuff missing so it was quite annoying. I write that one tomorrow morning at 10am and am hoping to get it done quickly. I want to get it out of the way as I really want to get some more Microsoft ones done. Ideally, I would really like to have my MCSE before the end of the year but with the wedding, Christmas, and the Compucollege graduation, plus vacation, all coming in that time, it?s not looking too good. We?ll see what happens.
It is however a nice long weekend so I can enjoy an extra day of being lazy. I do actually want to get off my ass and hook the kitchen speakers up to the computer system because since we replaced them, we only have the radio. Which is another weird thing. Maybe Chris can answer this. Any reason why Magic 104 cuts out? Depending on where you stand in the kitchen, that one station doesn?t come in right. I figure if I hook an external antennae to the receiver, it may solve the problem but I figure I?d post it out for anyone?s comments.
Oh yes, in reality TV news, I was proven wrong. Sort of. Average Joe has been on the last few weeks, and last night, chickity chose her guy, and this time, she chose the Joe and not the Jock. I feel good about it as it shows us normal guys are worth the time and effort, but the whole thing reeks of being rigged. I?d like to believe she did the whole thing on her own but there?s warnings about how the producers consulted her, etc, but she made her own decisions. It wouldn?t surprise me if she was influenced to pick the Joe just to make the show a bit more interesting, or whatever. Anyways, if it wasn?t rigged, at least it does show that hot chicks do choose normal guys once in awhile, when they aren?t dumb. I?m glad Tamara is one of the not-dumb ones 😉
Speaking of which, she got the photos of her quest developed. She took pictures at each place she had to go to and then took pictures at the end. There?s one photo where she has the giant smile on her face but you can tell she has been crying. Very nice. Perhaps I might share. We?ll see.
Anyways, I was just reminded of something I needed to do so I am going to be off for now. Hopefully more interesting news will pop up.
