Well, frig those porn spammers irritate me. I have been getting the odd msg in my Inbox for the last few months about weird comments being posted on here. So today, I finally took the time to do some serious digging and found piles of comments from spammers trying to propagate links about horse sex. Well, as funny as that actually is, I did some serious cleaning today and I think I have rid myself of that crap. I also disabled comments for anonymous users so if you want to comment, you have to be registered and signed in.
In other news, me and Tamara worked on the wedding vows and have come up with some pretty cool stuff. We also have been trying to find an alternative to the unity candles thing which we wanted to do because it involves the parents, but we knew we would likely have issues with the candles if the wedding ceremony itself is outside. So thanks to yours truly, we have something else. Instead of the mom’s lighting a candle, each will bring down a bouquet of roses, and place them in a vase. Each bouquet represents that side of the family. When it comes time, the minister will get us to each take a flower from the bouquet and place them in our own vase, together. A symbol of us becoming our own family. Works well in outdoor situations and I think will look very nice.
We also took a good look at the hall and Tamara and Valerie have a better idea as to how things will look. We need to invest in some decorations and other things but all seems to be going well. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of our day.
Alas, my vacation time has finally come to an end. Today is the last day and I have a few things I want to do. I did not get everything done I wanted to but I did get a lot done. I do think that 2 weeks would have been better but I do get 2 weeks at Christmas time so I can look forward to that as well.
Back to classes tomorrow and there will only be 2 weeks of this module left and then it’s back to full days of teaching. I suspect I have Linux coming up but am not sure as to what else there will be. I am looking forward to seeing what else is coming down the pipe.
We went to an estate auction yesterday. Just up the road from where we live, some guy died, and they put up all of his stuff for auction. Man, this guy had SO much junk. Literally a house, trailer, tents, garages, and other buildings filled with stuff all being sold off to whomever wanted it. They had a lot of stuff there and had I had a pile of cash, there’s probably a bunch of things I would have bought, brought home, and collected dust until I died and then went up for auction again. 😉
So for now, I actually have some papers to grade and I must go see a man about a horse.
