Well yesterday was an interesting day. Spent it at a workshop for school related things and it was not as bad as it could have been. I did however get a free lunch, and eventually went over to mom’s to hook her printer up, and she wasn’t even home 😛
Today, I made a point of sleeping in, got up, had some food, Ben came over and visited for awhile, then me and Tamara went out to Centennial Park and vegged with Valerie, Darren, and Byron. Got some cool pictures of some squirrel and then went to Champlain Place where I claimed some money I had forgotten about regarding Tormented DVD’s. Now THAT’s old news. Heh.
Headline says last week because it is the last week of the current module which I think is safe to say has been awful. Technical difficulties and just plain bad luck have made it a bad module. We do look like we are going to come through it knowing the material but with the bad luck we had, it has been rough. Linux will be a nice change.
Our photo count is now 1,349 for the wedding. We got all of the disposables back and developed. Discovered that a whole lot of people don’t know how to use a camera. Frig sakes. If me and Tamara ever do a re-marry ceremony, I’ll never do disposables again. What a bunch of crap. There are some nice ones but a whole lot of shitty pictures that will do very little for me. Speaking of photos, it is still my intention to get a gallery of good shots up here but I just have not had the patience to go through that pile of photos and pick out the ones I like the most. I think what I might do is pile a bunch of photos into the Friends & Family sections that are good shots and then have a section soley for wedding. We’ll see how it goes. I dunno. Kinda tired tonite.
I also have been working to fix the theme so that it works with the new version of my software. If you want a sneak peak of what I have got so far, check out this link. Keep in mind, it’s nowhere even near done and some of the colors are way off, but does show you a bit of where the site is likely going.
In regards to site stuff, I have noticed recently that she’s been a bit slow. Not sure what the story on that is. It looks like the database access is really starting to bog down so I might have to find a way to archive a bunch of the REALLY old stories and shrink the size of the database so she works a bit better. Any optimization suggestions Chris? or anyone else who knows mySQL?
New season of South Park started and I have already downloaded 2 episodes. Pretty good thus far. They are on for another 3 seasons which is way cool. Glad to see that this is at least one show that is sticking around for a little while. 🙂
Anyways, I really ought to go get the garbage done, put some laundry away, and maybe start sorting through some pictures. Toodles!
