A Sunday Morning Afternoon

I just decided that I had enough of the bullshit that is the VPN right now so I gave up on trying to do anymore work. I have read everything I need to read and figure I am ready for tomorrow. Should make for an interesting day. We’ll see.

What a very uneventful week though. Talk about very little going on but that’s ok. I went to go digging around town yesterday trying to find a specific gift for Tamara and do you think I could find it anywhere? Not likely. Cripes people are insane this time of year. I am glad I am not spending a fortune on stuff because I’d likely kill someone with the way people get when they shop, myself included.

So, yesterday I kicked back, and watched some good ole X-Files on DVD. I hadn’t watched any of my Season 9 set which I have had for awhile now so I watched the series finale and a few other good eps from that last season. I do need to watch some of the older ones though as the Mulder Scully dynamic is what the shbow was all about. Clyde Ruckman’s Finale Repose was a wicked episode as was Quagmire, and Arcadia. Gotta watch those bitches again 🙂

As I sit here and wonder what I am going to do for the rest of the afternoon, I ponder going downstairs and finally taking a good look at that PVR and see if that bitch can be cracked open, or even attached to a network and see what comes up. I dunno if I am brave enough to open it up but I could at least take a peek at what would be involved. I mean hell, if I could get it open, see how the drives are set up, I might be able to find a way to offload the data from the drive to my PC and burn off all the shows and stuff. Since I do a lot of taping, it would be a prime thing to do for shows I want to keep (like Lost). I like the idea of hacking hardware but I have never really gotten into it much. Chris, how ’bout you? Do much hacking away at weird hardware stuff?

So now that I have it in my head, I’m going to go do it! I’ll post the results of my exploration 🙂
