Yup. It’s cold. The house is cold and despite not wanting to turn the heat on, I have. I’ve got a rip roaring fire going as well, but that room downstairs gets pretty damn warm so I am taking a break from that for now.
I have a large chunk of my Christmas shopping done, although I have a few things to get, including stocking stuffers, but I think the big stuff has been accomplished so far. I am not spending a LOT of cash but have had to dip into the vacation fund but that’s ok, next year I’ll start saving again.
Me and Tamara went to Boomerang’s last night, and I’m sitting at the table looking at these people in the back row thinking that two of them look familiar. Never figured out who one of them was, but the other one finally occured to me. I think J.C. is probably the only one who would remember Denise Lirette, but I am absolutely positive that was her. Actually, I think Chris knew her in high school, but J.C. was the only one that knew her when I did. A girl I went to junior high with back at Queen E. Certainly brought back a pile of memories once I figured it was her. No, she wasn’t a gf or anyone I ever dated. Just good memories. Long story. Ask me sometime.
It’s a quiet night. Tamara has gone shopping with Jenn (Adam’s GF, not my ex, HELLO?!?!) and so I am here doing very little. My morning class has review tomorrow so I am going to experiment a little bit, shortly, and my afternoon class has an exam so I really have no prep work to speak of. Speaking of work, I did get some sort of good news which I can’t get into details about, but the best way to put it is that I was given news that sort of relieved me of some of my worries, which is always a good thing. I am however a little bit worried about a situation this week but I am hoping to resolve it shortly. All is good though.
Our staff Christmas party is this Friday at 7. Should be fun. I don’t expect to be there for a very long time but it will be nice to get out and enjoy the evening in a social environment. The staff is a lot of fun and I am sure we will enjoy it.
But, on that note, I do think I am going to write the midterm exam for my morning class, just to ensure that I know what to expect, so for now, I must go put a log on the fire, and get some stuff done.
