Nothing feels better than having the next two weeks off of work. Talk about awesome.
So, today we had our last day of class, plus our bigass potluck at the school, and man, talk about a lot of food. My chilli went off very well so I was glad to see that it was well received.
I got my final secret Santa gift which was a pair of Homer Simpson slippers which are tres cool. I was the only guy in the secret Santa gift giving so it was a bit weird, especially when one person got…intimate apparel. Cracked a good joke about it and laughter followed all around. Twas funny.
So tonite we need to go get some groceries for Sunday and start the cleanup around the house. We have piles of stuff to tidy up, clean, and vacuum between tonite and tomorrow since we will have the entire family here on Sunday. I did a bit more shopping today and still have to find a few more stocking stuffers for Tamara but nothing major. I usually pack the socks with sweets anyway.
The poker game for Tuesday night is still on. I have not heard from Eric or Moonie with regards to if they are coming. I also invited my brother Rob. Hopefully we will have enough players. Tamara said she’d play as well but we’ll see whether or not we’re going to have a guys night or not. One way or another, we’re playing poker!
I am hoping to post before Christmas but with everything being so busy, we’ll have to see what happens. Besides, I am sure that you guys have better things to do over the holidays than read this blog.
BTW, thanks a lot Andrea for the Christmas card. We still have not done our thank you cards for the wedding but Tamara tells me we have a 6 month window on that so I’m sure it’ll happen right after Christmas.
I just spent the last half hour scrubbing the hell out of those damn things that sit in the stove. The elements. You know, the elements sit in there and all that scummy shit ends up in there. I got 3 out of four pretty much clean and the last one is soaking now. Cripes, talk about a mess.
Wow. You know it’s a weird day when I’m talking about cleaning the stove. Joy.
Well, for now I think I will sign this off. I hope everyone has a great holiday if I don’t see/hear/talk/blog you within the next few days!
