Video work

I got up this morning with the intentions of going for a nice long drive since I have not done that in awhile, but seeing as I am low on gas, and have other things I really should be doing, I went up to the Petro, got myself a Coke, and came home and have started working on the wedding video.

Originally, I was going to try and learn how to use Adobe Premiere but I decided that for this task, since I want it to work and be able to get it done in a timely fashion, I’ll use Ulead, and put up with any crashes that may occur. Quite frankly, I don’t have the patience today to deal with trying to figure out software.

Went to see King Kong last night and it was ok. Just ok. For starters, the movie was 3 hours long and although I didn’t notice the time pass, there was a lot of crap in that movie that could have been left out. A lot of totally unnecessary scenes, and although I am a lover of CG, there was WAY too much of it in this movie. I know that you are supposed to suspend disbelief for films like this, and I am usually pretty good at it, but I found myself just not buying into some of the scenes and watching them drag on and on and on. It was however an interesting story, and I would recommend it as a rental.

In other news, my Tix clock is dead already. I have to call ThinkGeek today and find out how to get a replacement because I have only had the thing plugged in for three days and then bam, it died. Sucks too because I really like the clock.

Poker night this week was a failure. I think really it was a case of bad timing seeing as it is the holidays and such, so if you had not noticed, I have suggested January 11th, as a new date for the game. All are welcome. Please let me know if you think this is a better day for you. If not, I’ll try anothe rday but I figured since this is way past New Years and Christmas, I’m hoping it will be a better time.

Speaking of New Years, we’re going to Valerie’s on Saturday to play some Dirty Minds and poker. Should be a lot of fun.

Regardless, my first of many videos have now finished rendering, so now it’s time for me to go and work on the ceremony. Have a great day folks!
