So yesterday I returned a set of poker chips I had here. I had bought a set a few months ago and then last yesterday we were at Costco and I found a REALLY nice set of chips. So, I bought those, and returned the other one with the receipt I used to buy a set at Christmas. They really weren’t supposed to take it back but they did so the new set didn’t barely cost me much at all.

We also stopped at Noble Aquarium and bought some new fish. We got 3 sharks/catfish (much like my beloved Apollo) and a Puffer. We put them in the 20 gallon tank in the computer room for now until we know they are ok, and then we’ll move them to the big one downstairs. After the last big batch of fish deaths (and the loss of Apollo), Irefuse to put any new fish into the big tank due to fears of death. So, we will wait until around the end of the month and see how it goes.

We’re doing the poker/game thing tonite which will be kind of fun. I sent out an email about the poker thing, but as usual, I got very few replies. We’ll see. I know ppl are busy.

I am fairly sore from Thursday but am recovering. I can tell you that it is sad that I ache and sad that my now long holiday has come to a close. I have some actual work type work to do tomorrow and then it is back to class on Monday. Joy. No more laying around doing nothing. How unfortunate. I am however entering the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes for 10 mil. Maybe I’ll get lucky 😉

I also managed to get a few things done around the house this week. I fix the front porch panels, returned all of the bottles and cans (1015 of them total) and installed a new digital thermostat in the kitchen. It’s one of those programmable ones and let me tell you, it was an interesting time. I installed the first one, which we got as a Christmas gift, not realizing that it is not meant for electric, baseboard heat. So, when it flipped the power on, *POOF* we had red smoke coming out of the wall. Returned that and got a new one which installed beautifully and needs to be programmed but does look pretty damn sweet I must say. I would like to get another one installed in the bedroom. I also want to buy a pile of those “circuit breaker” style fuses. They are expensive, but the nice thing is that if we “blow a fuse”, then we just reset the pin and we don’t have to replace it. Very nice.

I also had a somewhat funky dream about doing some additions to the house. I had this dream where we moved the back porch and removed the gazeebo entirely. We simply extended the house out as far as the porch and turned that into a dining room. We also moved the patio doors so that they would be facing the side of the house, instead of the river, and then moved the deck so it went that direction, and connected with the bedroom. I think if done right, it would be awesome. It would add another room to the main floor, a room downstairs, plus it would connect the patio to the bedroom. I think if we ever get the cash, or want to do home improvement, that will be something we could do. Anyone know where I can get a GOOD 3d home architect program?

Regardless, it is now time to go to Walmart, and then go get my regular Saturday sausage. We need to be back in plenty of time to clean the house for guests. Til then.
