Ok folks. A real post.

Well seeing as I am damn cold this morning, I have been doing some serious webbing and I need to take a moment to breathe so I figured I would post a real post, with lots of tidbits to share.

First off, for those who didn’t get it, I am now unemployed. I started doing the serious job hunt last Monday and things have been going ok. I have already had interviews and I am still looking, but I’ve got a few leads that I am hoping will work out.

In fact, I had a really good interview on Friday and left there and went back up to Compucollege to write a cert which I was not able to cancel and had not studied for in a week and a half and after answering only 34 questions for a Design Security exam, somehow I managed to pull it off. I must say it floored me to see that I had passed but it was a great way to round out the afternoon.

So yes, the being unemployed thing was the cause of my major upset last weekend. It was a very bad weekend and although it’s a bit scary trying to find work, I know that in some weird way, things will work out, and this is the way it is supposed to be. I keep telling myself that and I think I actually believe it. Everything happens for a reason and this is just a part of it.

So, if there is anyone who knows of any potential IT jobs out there, don’t hesitate to pass them along to me. I can use the assistance. I have been around to many places in town and have been scouring the web. As much as I would hate to leave Moncton, if something doesn’t come up in this area, I will have to seek employment elsewhere. I’ve got plenty of experience and knowledge so I have no doubt that I’ll find work.

In other news, me and Tamara went skating and man it was interesting. Had not been on skates for several years and I must say it was a lot of fun. Our feet hurt afterwards but we managed to pull through.

Had a nice game night on Saturday with Tammy, Joe, Chris, and Angela. We gotta do that more often. I think I may have found a game that I am really good at. Taboo! Plus, we played a few rounds of poker and since it wasn’t real money, I bet big. Is kind of fun.

With regards to poker, I’m not planning a poker night again for awhile. I know people are busy and the interest is there, sort of, but trying to get people together can be a pain as schedules conflict and such so if anyone else has a better idea, please let me know.

I’ve also been working a bit on the website. I have been trying to find a new color scheme/theme for the site that will give it a fresh new look. There’s plenty of stuff on the web but nothing that really matches what I want or like. I don’t feel like taking the time to try and make my own as it can be way too time consuming.

The wedding video is almost done. I am now waiting for Tamara to work on the slide show video. This could take awhile as it takes her a good amount of time to choose the photos and what order. But, once that is done, I’ll burn some copies and likely have the family over for a viewing. If anyone else would like to see it, don’t hesitate to ask as I can burn a DVD copy no problem.

My replacemrnt Tix clock arrived and appears to be in working order. Let’s see how long it takes before this one breaks. Hopefully, it won’t.

Beyond that folks, I must say I am feeling better and am trying my absolute best not to think of the whole unemployment thing. I must say that it hit me very hard and I think Tamara will agree in that it was a very dark weekend that weekend. Things are looking better and I am trying my best to be optimistic. This has given me some serious time to consider things and how life goes, etc. Now, I just need to find work. On that note, I do believe I should get back to doing just that.
