As promised, I am doing a good post tonite for a week in review. So, let’s see.
Well, as some of you may have noticed, I was irritated by the whole trying to download TV shows crap earlier this week. I was trying very hard to download a copy of episode 317 of Las Vegas that I missed last Friday. Well, I tried and tried and tried and had numerous attempts through IRC channels and Packetnews.Com but just got nowhere. I finally did get two good downloads but they ended prematurely and I couldn’t watch any of the video. I tried Torrents and got lucky and found one that downloaded over night. Of course, I burned it onto CD, dropped it into the DVD player (which plays DivX & Xvid) and sure enough, it was CSI Las Vegas. NOT what I wanted. So, I said fuck it and didn’t bother. So last night I set the PVR to tape the show every Friday so I won’t have this shit happen again.
I watched this interesting new reality show last night. American Inventor. Man, I have missed horribly bad reality TV. This show was a reminder of how desparate some people are. Wow. A raincoat you can pee in. Would you buy that? Seriously. Anyways, it was an entertaining watch and there was actually a couple of really cool things that made it through the “qualifying” round including this one add-on for a bike. Very neat.
In other news, I am working on some new articled for [here] and came upon a commercial for a new robot. Some of you might remember my fascination with the Roomba vacuum awhile ago (I still intend on buying one). Well, now they have something that will wash your floors. The Scooba. Same idea as Roomba but it actually washes instead of vacuum. Not bad. Maybe when I get credit card paid off I’ll rack it up with some of those iRobot robots and a robotic lawnmower.
Yeah, I’m kind of on a link frenzy right now.
Tonite, we’re going out to Cheers for St Patty’s Day where Alex & Brian are playing. Haven’t seen them play for awhile so it will be a good time. I am looking forward to it. I am actually hoping I’ll see some other people around. Regardless, it’ll be a good time.
This weekend will be very little. Gotta do a little house cleaning, but mostly I want to chill out.
I have gotten very little positive responses on the poker game, again. Fuck man. People say they want to play and then tell me they can’t make it. Maybe I really should do the game in mid-week. Seems everyone is always busy on the weekends. I’ll keep folks posted on whether or not I change it again but damn, I need some poker time folks!
Well, I must say that I think I am starting to get a little out of touch with some parts of tech. I started looking for a new upgrade for my computer system and man, the shit I am seeing out there is enough to make my head spin. Not sure whether I want to go 64 bit or not but I know that I want to get a PCI Express slot for a new video card and since Vista is due this year, I’d like a system that can support 64bit but I dunno if I want to shell out the cash. Anyone out there have a 64bit system that can tell me whether or not it makes THAT much of a difference? I’d be curious.
The new season of South Park is almost upon us. OH SHIT!!! That reminds me!!! I taped David Letterman the other night because the boys from South Park were going to be on it (Matt & Trey). I must go watch that.
Well, I think that’s enough. My arms are hurting and my wrists are sore so I think it’s time to do something other than type.
