Sunday bloody Sunday

So here it is. Sunday morning. The sun is out (kinda) and I am actually out of bed before noon. Who would have thunk it?

Let’s see. Things to report and news. Well, let’s start with last week. Work was going a bit slow and then wham, I got hit with some good stuff and am now off to working like a madman. Actually, it’s not that crazy but I do have some unique things to work on and am looking forward to next week. Not only because I have some kickass work to do, but it’s only a four day week and its a pay week. What more could you ask for?

Friday was relatively uneventful. I had lunch at Rockwells and had the shittiest buffet I’ve had in awhile. I mean, they had some good stuff, if you like cold scallops, and cold meatloaf. Not my forte thank you. Friday night consisted of much of nothing. Although I do think we went to Canadian Tire, but that might have been Saturday.

Now mind you, yesterday was the opposite. We got up and went to Kent’s to get a sausage as per the normal routine, but then we went into Kent’s and bought some stuff for the house. Fact is folks, we have some major renovations coming up soon. For starters, we have an electrician coming in on Wednesday to install some lighting. Both the computer room and craft room (*snicker*) do not have any kind of lighting on the ceiling. Both are lit via a hanging lamp plugged into an outlet. So, an electrician is coming in and installing some light fixtures for us, as well as installing two new lights on the back deck. It’s always bugged me that you can’t see out the back deck at night. Problem solved. We bought some ceiling fans and outdoor lighting fixtures and will have them installed on Wednesday. I also bought some of those shiny metallica garbage cans for the kitchen and despite Tamara’s sort of lacklustre thoughts about them, I like them.

We also are having work done on both bathrooms. Well, I guess it will depend on how much its going to cost. We know we need to get the bathroom upstairs renovated because the shower doesn’t work, the toilet and sink leak/drip and the bathroom is just shitty *snicker* so we want to get a new tub, taps, toilet, and tink I mean sink 😉 Replace the floor and the tile. Lots of fun. Once we know we have a working shower upstairs, we are looking to completely remove the shower from the basement, and install a hot tub. We’d like a corner one but it requires us to move the toilet and would leave very little room for the toilet to sit there but I think we can do it.

The last renovation thing we’ve thought about and would really like to do (and I had a dream about as well) is removing the bar from the basement. The fact is, the bar does look cool, and it gives us a spot to put Bob, but it is functionaly useless to me and Tamara. There’s a pile of wasted space that we could use for something else (such as a pool table or book case, etc) and we just think it would be nice. Plus, I think it would not be much to remove it. The problem being the carpet which was laid after the bar was installed so we would need a rug on the floor to cover the holes up. But, we should be getting estimates back from the contractor soon.

We got home, and although it was a bit late in the day, we did some major cleaning. I did a somewhat major cleanup in the computer room although you probably wouldn’t know it to see it. Picked up a bunch of garbage and sorted through some things. We’re missing the battery charger for the good digital camera so I need to find it before I got to Pittsburgh in May. I want to have the good camera for that. Oh yeah! I almost forgot. I did purchase a new piece of luggage which I will be using to do my travel. Nice bag which will hopefully holdl everything I need

After having cleaned my room and being quite tired from that, supper needed to be made so I did the dishes (about 80% of them anyway) and made some pork chops and veggies which went down quite nicely. I must admit, my cooking has improved in the last few years.

Today is.. well, I dunno what today will be. Tamara is going to a wedding shower and I will be home. I got the new Tomb Raider Legend game which is actually not bad. It runs quite well on my system and looks good. I think Lara’s boobs may have gotten smaller. Her missile silos are not so big anymore which is both good and bad. Ironically, after having played the game for awhile, I went downstairs, flipped on the TV, and what was playing? Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. Nothing wrong with Angelina Jolie although I can think of other hotties who top her, but that’s just me.

The latest episode of South Park is a nice take on Family Guy. Yes folks, in fact its a two parter which will continue on Wednesday. Should be funny to see.

I have learned a bit more about my new cell phone. I learned how to get into the operating system, and modify some of the files on the phone. I have now been able to remove the annoying “Rogers” name from the skins, as well as make a bit more room for my nice Digital Blasphemy wallpaper. The mushrooms do look sweet on that phone. I also snagged a copy og Bejewelled for the phone but can’t seem to find where they install the java files to which is a little weird, but nothing too serious. I also learned that the differences between the GSM (mine) and the CDMA (Aliant/Telus) phones are not that much except for talk time and battery life, bothof which mine is better, and the fact that the CDMA phones need a newer version of the phone tools (v4) which is harder to find. Kinda funky.

Had a weird dream last night. In fact, it’s got me a little spooked. I’ve had like 3 dreams within the last few months about Norampac. Maybe even more. Every one of them, I either get lost in the plant, or am there trying to visit people. In two of the dreams, the offices look exactly the same but nothing like what it really looks like. Anyone know the meaning behind repeated dreams of a former employer? Very weird.

Regardless, it is a good day folks. I am in a good mood, I’m awake, now I just need to do something constructive. Or maybe not. Maybe I’ll do something destructive 🙂
