We had a loss in the family today. With all the good news going around, it was a sad evening this evening when our black cat Snipes had to be put down due to serious medical issues. He did not experience any pain and was surrounded by his family during his last minutes.
Tamara has had Snipes for 12 years and it is definitely like losing a member of the family. I’ve known him as long as me and Tamara have been together. He was very picky about letting me be with Tamara but eventually I finally earned his approval, which meant I must have been the right guy.
Known mostly for his somewhat grumpy behavior, as well as his infamous scratching of the shoelaces, Snipes had two siblings, both not by blood, Chloe & Lucky. Snipes loved to play with his mom’s legs when she hid her hands underneath and taunted him. He also enjoyed a good round of catnip when the getting was good.
He will be missed. 🙁
