Week is almost done

I am happy to say that tomorrow will be Friday and it couldn’t have come any faster. Holy crap this week has just blown by. With the way work has been going, I go in, and then it seems like it is time to come home again. I don’t know where the hell the time goes. Frig.

I must say that I am tired today, mostly because I did not sleep very well and I am hoping that some food and rest tonite will aid in my rest recovery.

I read today that the grey haired guy won American Idol. Pretty cool. Seems like a funky guy but I gotta say that I am really sick of American Idol, Canadian Idol, and all of those Idol type shows as they have really gotten old. I enjoy some reality TV here and there but after working at Compucollege, I learned a bit about how the audition process goes since Crystal (a girl who worked there) auditioned several times and gave the staff the scoop.

Apparently, you have to pass through two (it could be three but its definitely two or more) full “auditions” of sorts before you go before the judges that you see on TV. Now I don’t know if this applies to American Idol, but it is how it’s done for Canadian Idol. Knowing that someone has to pass through two judges before going in front of the cameras for an audition in front of the TV judges, means that all of those crappy singers that we laugh at, were actually allowed to pass through, while good singers who actually have a voice, would have been turned away. Why? Simple. It makes good television. No one wants to see just the good singers, but the bad singers as well.

With that said, there’s a huge possibility that real talent simply gets overlooked because they want to have some shitty singers who will make good TV. Oh well. I’m not a TGV producer so what do I know right?
