Well folks, I decided that once again, I think I am going to switch webhosting companies. So, for you, what does that mean? Well, it doesn’t mean a whole hell of a lot except that there may be a brief interruption of service as I move my domains to the new server.
Why the change? Well, I really can’t do much complaining on the side of my current host but the fact is, I’m paying about $10/mo for hosting of both my sites, and the Tormented site. After having a minor outage, I did some digging and found what looks like a good host so I am going to try it out and see how it goes. I think what I might do is move Tormented’s site there first, make sure it works, and see how it performs, and then move Bobsroom. Moving this site is a hell of a lot more complicated than Tormented.
I think I will also use this as an excuse to do some cleanup. You may not realize this, but behind the scenes of this site is a mess. I have files everywhere and it is really kind of bothersome when I try to do some maintenance. So this is a great time to do some cleanup. I am hoping to do the move of Bobsroom during a weekend and have all back up and normal.
If anything folks, you’d get redirected to a “temp” site where I’d be posting while I move all the data. Worry pas, this site ain’t going nowhere. The new host gives me a pile more space and I will be able to move Tormented’s site to the same hosting account since right now both are separate. Seems like the fun never stops here eh?
