Why you ask? Well, I finally got home and man, I just can’t seem to come down off the insanity that has been my day. The work day went so fast and had so many things going on I can barely even think straight. Tamara said I should sit down and type it all out and get it all out of my system but since I don’t like getting into a lot of detail about work on here, I guess I’ll just blab on aimlessly about crap that matters not.
I sat down and watched a few episodes of South Park last night. I like going through some of the older ones when I need a good laugh. Actually, last night I was thinking about one of the episodes that actually used the original video they made as a gift that got them into the whole TV show thing. For those who don’t know, originally Trey Parker and Matt Stone were given something like $2000 to make a short Christmas card video. They did just that and it included the 4 kids from South Park talking about Jesus & Santa. The short was called “The Spirit of Christmas” and eventually spread like wildfire and caught the attention of Comedy Central who offered a TV show to the creators. The rest is history.
Well, in the episode “A Very Crappy Christmas”, the boys decide to make their own Christmas video and put together one for tht town to watch. The video they “make” is in fact the original Spirit Of Christmas video just integrated into the episode. It was pretty cool. I spent like an hour trying to figure out which episode it was and then I came upon a pile of stuff about South Park in Wikipedia which was neat because they have a lot of history about each episode in it. Very neat.
Did I tell you about the mining notice? I did a quick peak and didn’t see anything so maybe I forgot. We got a notice in the mail saying that someone has staked a claim to mine on our property. Apparently they are looking for titanium and may be excavating part of our property to find it. I guess they have to reimburse us if they do anything but I don’t get how they can have permission to do things on our property when we are the owners. Anyone know anything about that? Very odd. You can check out this page which details their current projects. Very neat. I wonder if they find it on our property if we get a cut?
Hmmmmm, I’m going to go find something useful to do or write about now.
