After watching Supernova last night, me and Tamara were both quite surprised when Storm Large was given the heave ho from the Rockstar competition. I must say it was disappointing to see her go as she was the only hot one left on that show. But none the less, I do believe Toby is the best contender for the lead singer position. I really do not want to see Dilana take it as I think she is just not matched for the band. I really thought she was the perfect one for awhile but with the last few weeks, we’ve seen different sides to her that I don’t think fit well with the group.
That being said, there are rumours that the fix is in for Lukas. I’ve heard a few rumours that say he was bought into the competition and was pre-chosen to win all along. Whether that is true or not, it does make you wonder if all the voting is in fact real. How do the fans KNOW that their vote goes anywhere? Regardless, it makes for good television apparently.
I’m not following Canadian Idol but it too is coming to a close next week. I wonder what kind of manufactured crap we’ll get from this winner. At least if Eva wins she’s kind of cute. I don’t really care anyway because none of the other winners have really gone anywhere. Has anyone heard anything from Ryan Malcolm since he won the first round? Hell, even in American Idol most of the winners have gone nowhere. The only true breakout star is Kelly Clarkson. She’s still making records and still on the charts. Oh I suppose, there is that country girl who won last year. Still though, the whole “idol” thing is getting old.
The Amazing Race & Survivor are scheduled to start soon. I am anxious to watch these. Of all the reality shows I watch, I think those are the only 2 that have remained somewhat consistent in what I expect from them. Whether it is real or fixed in some way does not matter because I still enjoy watching them.
In other news, Tamara picked up a battery for my picture frame laptop and it works great. Now I just need to piece it together, mount the bitch, and hang it up. WOO HOO!
Tomorrow is Friday folks and I must say, I’ll be glad when it gets here because damn I need the extra sleep this weekend.
