So folks, thanks to some major help from Tamara, the digital picture frame is almost done. She did an awesome job of painting the shadow box and the matte for the frame looks really good. I did some new tests last night and I have decided that I will be using DOS instead of Windows to power the slide show. Sort of.
Turns out I found an awesome DOS/console slideshow program which will display our photos very nicely, and is WAY less processor intensive than running Windows. It’s very easy to use and only needs a list of filenames. I think this makes the most sense since I want the frame to display pictures only and have a quick startup time. I am hoping to have the bulk of this frame done this weekend. We’ll see.
Today is the golf tournament here at work. First time ever I will be golfing. Lots of food and fun. Should be cool.
I have already received a pile of emails about the Halloween party. Thank you for those of you who replied already. As I said, I know some of you can’t make but that’s ok. I wanted to include as many ppl as possible.
With that said folks, I better get my shit done before the day goes insane. Report on my golfing experience will follow later.
