I will be glad to get home. I must say that for my first solo trip, it’s going both good and bad.
Good in the sense that the client is very happy and likes the work I am doing, but bad in that I haven’t been able to do everything I would like to.
Also bad in that I basically am stuck in the hotel room. I’m in a part of Atlanta called Smyrna, which is about as far from the city as you can get while still being in the city. There are no buses or subways that come near here and virtually no restaurants that are close enough that I could walk. I have found a few places but I have mostly just been ordering food and having it delivered to the hotel. Watching a lot of TV, and vegging out for the most part. Maybe I’ll get some other work done since there is not much else to do. But, with tomorrow being the day to come home, I will be glad to have the week done.
I can’t hold if against the city for being boring since I just happen to be stuck in a very boring part of town. Who knows, maybe Omaha will be more exciting. At least I will be downtown right?
