Ahhh, the last working day of the week

Posted by on January 26, 2007

Since I am waiting for my laptop to stop going disk crazy (it’s doing some disk cleaning) I figured I would take a few mins out to post a little blurb here.

I decided to work from home this morning. Mostly because I was too damn lazy to get out of bed in time to go into the office. That’s fine. I’ll go in for the afternoon and finish out my day then. I think the day will go by quickly and that way I can look forward to my weekend.

Speaking of which, we had a drop out on tomorrow’s game night. Red & Randy (should we call them R squared?) will not be attending. That is unfortunate but I know how these things go. My condolences go out to Brian as I heard he lost a family member recently. Send mine and Tamara’s sympathies to your family. Moonie, Tamara wanted to know if Lori would want to come tomorrow night? We might be playing stuff other than poker and figured maybe she’d want to join in. She’s more than welcome.

Going to mom’s tonite for supper. My aunt Linda and uncle Ken are down from Ontario. I have not seen Ken in many moons and Tamara has never met him. It’s likely she won’t meet him again anytime soon since it is very rare that he comes down here. I’m sure Chris (Evul_C) has a vivid memory of my uncle Ken as he made as very well aware of how much he liked the song Freebird when we went up to Toronto in 95. *chuckle* There’s an interesting story there but I’m not going into details today.

The house is somewhat messy so tomorrow will be a day of cleanup before any kind of gaming will go on. God knows this place needs to be tidied up a bit but you know how it is. You get working and come home and the last thing you think about is cleaning the house. Blah. I have kitty litter to clean up tonite. Joy oh freaking bliss.

We had a new IT policy implemented at work yesterday. Blogs came into the picture and as you are all well aware, there have been some issues with this blog and a few of my employers in the past. I made sure to discuss the do’s and don’ts with HR and the IT department and I know the boundaries and I know what to keep to myself. It’s not anything overly complicated. Just keep the bulk of my work stuff off the web. No rocket science there. I do my best.

I have been making good use of my PSP since Christmas but unfortunately when I was in Toronto on Wednesday, somehow I lost my gaming profile in Need for Speed and I’m having to re-race a lot of the tracks so I can build up my rep, again. Irritating, but it gives me more driving practice.

Well, looks like I sould get back to work. I have some final touches and fixes to do for one client and then some more stuff so I better get to it.

Once again, game/poker night at our house tomorrow night, all are welcome.
